As part of the America 250 celebration the Hart County Historical Society is presenting several arts-related events.

This session is presented by Hart County artist Jennifer Sims who has taught art in Hart County Public Schools for 28 years and is an Adjunct Professor of Art for Western Kentucky University.

She was honored as Elementary Art Teacher of the Year for 2003-2004, Middle School Art Teacher of the Year for 2010-2011, Special Needs Teacher of the Year for 2015-2016 by the Kentucky Art Educators Association, and was finalist for Kentucky High School Teacher of the year in 2022.

She has participated with Arts for All Kentucky for several years to work with special needs students and has artwork in galleries in Bowling Green and Louisville.
