Small town shopping in Hart County Kentucky is an experience in itself. Nothing’s better than Kentucky Proud homegrown produce and plants, homemade jams and jellies, and local crafts right on the farm at Dennison’s Roadside Market. You might spot the perfect heirloom nearby at one of our local antique shops or a handmade Amish basket at Detweiler’s Country Store or the Munfordville Welcome Center & Gift Shop.
You’ll want to take home a memory of your adventures in Hart County, and we have that covered! Choose a t-shirt, fossils, cuddly stuffed replicas of those cute animals you met, handmade jewelry and more at gift shops at American Cave Museum, Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo and the Munfordville Welcome Center.
Add a stop at county’s newest Amish business Farmwald’s Restaurant and Bakery located right in front of Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo at I-65 exit 58. They have handmade gifts, locally-crafted baskets and furniture, local food items, souvenirs and toys. You’ll also want to try their donuts, breads, pies, soups, sandwiches (hot and cold), and their huge selection of gift items. Dining on the patio or to go. Hearty Amish breakfast served daily until 11 am. Special Amish Wedding Dinner every Friday 4-8 pm. Two pieces of boneless chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, bread dressing, buttered corn or peas, dinner roll, and fountain drink of your choice. Open Monday – Saturday 6 am to 6 pm.
