AMISH ADVENTURES MILD & WILD!
Wild animals along a mild Amish wagon ride, this adventure is a must! It’s located on a beautiful Amish farm just 2 miles off the interstate, but you’ll think you’ve traveled back in time to another era – or even another continent. Come feed the animals. You can take the ¾ mile hayride on a covered wagon to feed camels, ostriches, emus, wildebeest, long horns, highland cows, rheas, and so many more! Visit the encounter area to interact with smaller animals. Check out the cool critters like monkeys, rabbits, and reptiles inside. Find the perfect souvenir in the gift shop – the stuffed animals are fantastic! Take the barrel train ride. Relax as the kids enjoy the playground. Grab a snack at the concession area (why not camel’s milk ice cream?).

Sucker Punch Bowfish & Boat Rides
This one is a little wild! Hart County’s newest Amish-owned adventure is located on Green River at Riverbend Retreat. Not familiar with bowfishing? It’s an outdoor sport that combines archery and fishing. Anglers use specialized bows (recurve, compound, or crossbows) to shoot heavily weighted, barbed arrows tethered to a fishing line, allowing them to reel the fish in after a successful shot. These nighttime guided hunts are customized to meet the needs of the visitor. Boat rides are also available. Reservations are required.
- 1550 Riverbend Road, Horse Cave
- 270.218.2446 or 270.524.3019
- Available Monday – Saturday by reservation.

AMISH ADVENTURE LODGING? We have that, too!
Rural, Remote, and Rustic! This riverfront property on an Amish farm is the perfect place to get away when visiting the Green River. There is a pavilion on site with a volleyball net, basketball goal, corn hole, swing set, and kan jam. Complementary upon reservation are 3 kayaks and life jackets. It’s a great place for children/families to swim. Excellent fishing for catfish and bass. There is a common area boat ramp on the resort. Also available by reservation is Sucker Punch Bowfish & Boat Rides.
- 1550 Riverbend Road, Horse Cave (a 13 minute drive from Dutch Country Safari Park)
