How cool is it to be able to take your dog with you on a cave tour right in the middle of the small town of Horse Cave? The Hidden River cave tour is a 45-minute tour that will be a great adventure to share with your pet. You can also bring your pooch with you as you tour the American Cave Museum’s exhibits.
Adjacent to Hidden River Cave is the Maple Avenue Park where there is a 1/3 mile walking trail, shady benches, picnic tables, and a picnic shelter. Pick up a pizza at the locally-owned The Feeder just across the street and have yourself a picnic in the park with your pet.
You can take your dog with you on your canoe trip down Green River, Kentucky’s longest river. Choose your tour. They range from 3 hours to 2 days. Contact Big Buffalo Crossing Canoe & Kayak to arrange your canoe and your tour.
Your dog will love to hike with you along the Jenny Wilson Byrd Trail or on the walking trail at Green River Park & Arboretum in downtown Munfordville. Grab a picnic lunch at a nearby fast food or deli and enjoy it in one of the park’s picnic shelters or play a round of Disc Golf.
Mammoth Cave National Park also offers close to 100 miles of trails for dog friendly adventure!
You’ll find tasty goodies and cute clothes and toys for your pet at the Munfordville Welcome Center in downtown Munfordville.
