  • Take a cell phone tour – The award-winning Horse Cave Stories Cell Phone Tour along the pathway of Hidden River Cave under your feet tells about ”cave wars,”  feuds, tobacco farming, basketball, and integration in a town built on top of a cave. The Old Munfordville Cell Phone Walking Tour is full of stories of Civil War occupation. Start your tour after a visit at the Hart County Historical Museum in downtown Munfordville.
  • Tour a battlefield -- Walk where the  soldiers fought, and learn about 3 of the Civil War’s significant events- the Battle and Siege of Munfordville, the Battle of Rowletts Station and the Skirmish of Woodsonville- at the Battle for the Bridge Historic Preserve. You can explore two miles of interpretive trail that begins at the historic Anthony Woodson house, just 1 mile south of Munfordville.
  • Plan a picnic and take a hike – Grab a picnic lunch at a local restaurant and take it to Green River Park & Arboretum in downtown Munfordville where there are picnic shelters and a children's playground. Primitive camping is free, and if you have your pole and a license, fishing is free, too. Don't forget to take a photo with the buffalo there or and enjoy the walking and hiking trails.
